Rezumat

Our contemporary societies are increasingly experiencing a unique world which is agreed to call the "global village". This village or this world, although unique, remains the meeting place of individuals with origins and cultures as multiple as diverse. How then remain in a harmonious universe of interpenetration and compenetrating, that also means of understanding? To this fundamental question, answers, on the logical right, the language of the Other. Indeed, if language is the ultimate receptacle of a culture, in a context of globalization where each man, of this or that culture, of this or that country, has become citizen of the world, of this unique world, the language of the Other is given to be like a heritage of the Universal. By the language of the Other, mastered and appropriated by the Self, comes to open what might be called the memory of humanity. In that openness, any subjectivity – whether linguistic, cultural, racial, and so on – is broken by the force and the transcendent power of the truth of the "we", creator of values. On the basis of such an unavoidable reality, aren’t we invited, people from here and elsewhere, to be consistent with the multilingualism by which we can rise to the Universal? Our reflection proposes, starting from the intrinsic values of the linguistic phenomenon, to determine the language as chanter of the Openness, all that suggests plurilingualism / multiculturalism as a requirement of globalization.
