More than two years from signing the Association Agreement, the Republic of Moldova woke up in a situation when there are several shortcomings that seriously affect the implementation of measures of the European Union - Moldova Association Agreement. Some of them are: Corruption and banking sector. According to the report of Transparency International „Corruption Perceptions Index 2014”, Moldova ranks 103. From the list of challenges and problems concerning corruption we can draw some conclusions that the situation with corruption led to a crisis and a threat to national security of the Republic of Moldova. Finally, we propose some recommendations to the authorities in the field of preventing and combating corruption and strengthening the national security of the Republic of Moldova. |
