The paper includes the present data on multilateral importance of entomofauna as well as the situation provoked by global and regional anthropogenic degradation of ecosystems with the
increasing of their “bio-homogeneity”. The protection of biodiversity at global and regional scale is important not only for the maintenance of balance in nature, but also for human life, having ethical, moral and aesthetic value.
