This article briefly describes the review of kinds and classifications of bilingualism in modern psychology. Therefore, we underlined the criteria, on which are based the organization of bilingualism classifications. One of the important criterion of distinguishing kinds of bilingualism is conditions and way of achieving bilingualism. It determines interactions between languages in individual consciousness and mediate secondary language system. Depending on language interactions mechanisms in individual consciousness is emphasizing coordinated and mixed bilingualism. A degree of possession of type of speech action in two languages determine receptive, reproductive a productive kinds of bilingualism.
