Rezumat | ||||||
The perspective Iulian Ciocan writes from at Free Europe is that of an ordinary man with his everyday issues. Everything that annoys the eye, ear or common sense of a citizen is criticized by the publicist. Litter on the streets, market vendors’ tricks which imitate the deals of „big businessmen”, politicians’ moral decay, the image of a city that does not believe in anything any more are the recurrent topics of Iulian Ciocan’s publicistics. Like in his novels the author intends to draw a picture of Bessarabian transition in its multiple aspects, with its abysses and hopes (vague ones!). His attention is drawn towards the detail which is hard to identify due to its omnipresence and banality. It is though full of meanings. Drawn onto the foreground
the revelatory detail becomes a caution sign against imbecility and degradation of society moral hygiene. |
