Starting the research from certain premises from J. Derrida’s philosophy, the paper aims to enhance the ethical resources of deconstructionist concepts, providing some conditions for the existence of „ethics of reading” in the opening space of freedom, invention, as well as a response and responsibility towards the radical alterity of the Other. Theses are supported by a comparative analysis with ethical principles from phenomenology, structural semiotics and hermeneutics.
