The need to study the artistic form in sculpture, its basic laws and principles, dictated its realization from a historical perspective. An artistic experience of the present, is built on the artistic foundation of the past, then offering a solid support for future creations. The methods and techniques that sculptors have mastered over time, through their own experience and effort, have contributed to the creation of a sculptural treasure, which could be accessed by any artist, eager to improve their craft. The materials, the specific tools of the sculpture, used by the artists in a unique and personal way, in their turn, offered ways to approach the plastic forms. The creative process itself, "making", remains to be, something different from existing, deductive, inductive, suggestive, perceived and understood, but also different in nature. Thus, a form taken from nature and plastically exhausted can become an artistic form. The symbiosis of all this: materials, techniques and the creative process, masterfully handled by the creative spirit of the artist, produces the work of art, which looks at and receives the visual message. The artistic form in sculpture now acquires the values of transfiguring society, becomes remarkable for its members and brings a plus to its well-being. |
