Rezumat | ||||||
Self-esteem serves as a valuable indicator of a person’s overall health and well-being. High self-esteem is often associated with positive mental health. Positive self-esteem is particularly crucial during adolescence. It aids in psychological adjustment, helping young people navigate the challenges of identity formation, peer relationships, and societal expectations. The relationship between self-esteem and eating behavior, especially among adolescent women, is often explored in the context of body image and societal standards. Low self-esteem can contribute to unhealthy eating habits, and subsequently to the development of eating disorders. |
