Some data about the beetles (Coleoptera) of the Codrii Tigheciului Reserve. This reserve represents a natural wooded area in the southwestern part of the Republic of Moldova with a great variety of insects. 172 species from 6 families were revealed during the period of investigations carried out in 2003-2005. Three species among them are rare or endangered. Notoxus brachycerus (Faldermann, 1837) from the Anticidae family was found for the first time in our republic. The most numerous were representatives of the families Carabidae, Scarabaeidae, Coccinellidae, Chrysomelidae and Curculionidae. A full list of species with the specification of their
nutrition types is presented. |
