The competitiveness of the agri-food sector is a priority at the level of the European Union, being financed through non-reimbursable European funds related to the rural development policy. Romania has benefited from non-refundable European funds for this priority, since the pre-accession period until now. Increasing the competitiveness of the Romanian agri-food sector worldwide is an essential condition for ensuring Romania's food security, especially in the context of the manifestation of several crises worldwide. Thus, our country must focus on exploiting the agricultural potential, by supplying raw materials to the domestic food industry and intensifying food production. |
