Rezumat | ||||||
The Chisinau architect Alexei Șciusev was a brilliant creator, his work was personally appreciated by the dictator Joseph Stalin. A. Șciusev understood the tastes of the Soviet ruler in terms of communist imperial architecture. That’s how those times were: dictators wanted to impose their greatness in special, imposing edifices, in new-type cities, in tribunes, stadiums, etc. The personality of the architect Alexei Șciusev cannot be presented without explaining the essence of the society in which he created – in the Soviet totalitarian regime. |
