Rezumat

The competence is the capacity of a person or of a group to give an interpretation to a phenomenon, to find the solution of a problem, to take a decision or to act in a situation; it also represents someone’s attributions, in performing an activity in a social – objective plan, the pyramid of competence is determined by the nature and the complexity of the jobs that make the content of different fields of activity and of different functions; in a subjective – psychological plan, the competence represents the result of the knowledge, abilities, features which a person possess for fulfilling the social function which he is endowed with. There are major individual differences at the competence level, in connection with one and the same category of duties, as the grade of elaborating physical competences mentioned differs from one person to another. To obtain a maximum efficiency in any field of activity it is needed an organic correspondence between the objective part and the subjective one of the competence.
