Rezumat | ||||||
Utero-cutaneous fistula (UCF) is an unusual and rarely reported clinical entity, that may be caused by postoperative or postpartum complications, such as infection or inflammation. It was first described by Thomas Case in 1958. Since then the literature on it has been confined to a few case reports, in totally about 100 cases being published. The aetiology and optimal treatment strategy of UCF are still not clear. Imagistic methods may be useful in UCF detection and play a large and important role in differential diagnosis. |
