Social developments are becoming more and more apparent, and their consequences extend to all areas of activity. Under these circumstances, the issue of language becomes a topical one. One argument for this is the fact that words of different origins are used in the language, and writing them involves many grammatical mistakes. The aim of this paper is to identify the main spelling mistakes made during the evolution and modernisation of the Romanian language. Research and study of dictionaries containing the main changes in the Romanian language formed the basis of this work. In the following, the author will try to demonstrate the evolution of the Romanian language from its origins to the present.
