To identify the genotypes of autumn triticale, resistant to the associated action of drought and temperature stress factors, the response of the parents (x Triticosecale Wittmack) Costel (C), Ingen 54 (I) and the L161 line (L), as well as the F3 hybrids (CI, IC, IL and LI), derived from the reciprocal crossing of the parental genotypes. In conditions of water restrictions adjusted with polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) in the concentrations of 10% and 20%, on a background temperature of 12oC and 22oC, was evaluated the germination indices, length and mass of the root and stems at the early stage of ontogenesis (7 days ). On both temperature backgrounds in the case of PEG 10% treatment, the investigated genotypes registered only tolerance for germination indices and root length, but resistance and tolerance for stem length. When combining the factors PEG 20% x Temperature 22oC decreased only the length of stems in the range of 90.3%...44.5%, showing resistance, medium sensitivity, but also sensitivity. The resistance of the mentioned character was recorded to the paternal genotype C, but also in the CI hybrid. The simultaneous action of the stress factors PEG 20% and Temperature 12oC strongly reduced the investigated parameters, all levels of sensitivity being recorded. Stem growth was most strongly affected. |
