The article contains the results of empirical studies carried out in 2020-2021 by the Center for Sociology and Social Psychology and includes the description of some socio-psychological aspects regarding social capital focused on the group of young people in the Republic of Moldova. Social cohesion is represented by the main socio-psychological components of social capital: trust, belonging/identity, individual psychological resilience. The study suggests that the level of generalized confidence among young people is low. The most significant spheres of manifestation of trust for young people are: the family, one’s own person, friends and close people. Identifying socio-psychological indicators of social capital in young people can help to understand their future trends in society. The perception of trust, the manifestation of personal identity and the family as a source and support - these are only part of manifestations of young people’s social capital understanding.
