Sub aspect patrimonial, una din cele mai prețuite valori ale omului, indiferent de statutul său social, este proprietatea care reclamă o protecție sigură împotriva oricărei deposedări sau tulburări în exercitarea liberă a drepturilor asupra bunurilor din care se constituie. Din acest considerent, poate, apărarea relațiilor de proprietate a fost şi va fi mereu una din cele mai importante preocupări ale oricărui sistem de drept.
