The modern processes of globalization, proceeding in the direction of expanding the interrelationships and interaction of various countries and peoples, make the problem of the growth of national consciousness urgent, which is expressed in the intensive development of traditional national cultures. These processes reflect the confrontation of two opposing dynamic cultural-transforming aspirations of social development: on the one hand, the strengthening of universalism, on the other - the importance of the unique, national - cultural, individual - personal. At the same time, a multicultural society feels the need for a different worldview, which is aimed at the integration of cultures and peoples associated with further rapprochement and spiritual enrichment. All this confirms the importance of readiness for intercultural dialogue, the purpose of which is the development of culture in a person, a creative personality capable of active and fruitful life in a multicultural environment that has a developed understanding and respect for other cultures, the ability to live in peace and harmony with people of different nationalities, races, beliefs. The practice of solving problems arising from intercultural dialogue is the experience of the culture of interethnic communication. Development and the result of practical impact on society are unrealizable outside of interethnic communication, and therefore possession of the culture of interethnic communication is important for schoolchildren in difficult situations of intercultural interaction.
