Rezumat

The great impact and challenges related to globalization on higher education institutions is obvious and indisputable. Due to these major changes in terms of expanded communication and collaboration, there is a tendency to develop the so-called language for specialists, which differs from everyday language in the specification of terminology and text content. In this regard, there is a huge demand in providing specific conditions, informational basis, cross-border education in order for the system to function properly, as well as entailing adequate professional formation of both future specialists and teaching staff. This paper will describe the main roles and responsibilities of an ESP/EMP teacher, as well as issues, tasks and challenges they encounter during the course.
