Specific developmental disorders (STDs) are a category of mental health problems in which chil-dren have difficulty performing early developmental tasks such as speech, communication, socialization, cognitive acquisition (thinking and learning), and motor acquisi-tion. The incidence of STDs is constantly increasing, with severe repercussions of integrating children into society and invalidating them at a young age. Early recognition of borderline pathologies in children is an important goal.
