Articolul vizează problema aplicării metodei descoperirii în studiul matematicii la nivel liceal din perspectiva formării competențelor specifice matematicii. Este prezentat un exemplu de predareînvățare la clasă în cadrul studierii noțiunii de permutări în liceu, folosindu-se metoda descoperirii și impactul avut asupra elevilor. Se trage concluzia că metoda descoperirii contribuie eficient atât la formarea competențelor școlare, cât și la majorarea interesului liceenilor pentru studierea matematicii.

The article deals with the problem of applying the discovery method in the study of mathematics at the high school level from the perspective of the formation of specific mathematics competences. An example of classroom teaching-learning is presented in the framework of studying the notion of permutations in high school, using the discovery method and the impact it had on students. It is concluded that the discovery method effectively contributes both to the formation of school competences and to increasing the interest of high school students in studying mathematics.
