Rezumat

The scientific article reflects ideas, concepts and pedagogical application modalities regarding the conceptualization, design and organization of students' free time through curricular and extracurricular activities, so that free time becomes an indispensable value of students formed through education. In the international context, leisure education is developed and promoted as one of the "new educations", which is in the sights of the European Board of Education, UNESCO and other international structures, which set priorities and guidelines in the development of school documents on this dimension: leisure education curriculum, leisure education textbooks and methodological guides, etc., necessary for the formation-development of the personality throughout life, through experiential learning and rational management of leisure. For the Republic of Moldova, leisure education is an element of novelty derived from the "new education" that is necessary and timely, given the global trends and research results, it can be conceptualized and designed at the level of general education, through a educational content focused on the axiology of leisure time, and achieved both in formal education and in non-formal and informal education from the perspective of lifelong learning.
