The exchange rate is a tool for influencing the economic processes, used to promote monetary policy in order to adjust certain disequilibrium that occur in the evolution of the economy. In turn, the fluctuation of exchange rate itself, may present a disequilibrium, with well-known consequences. For these reasons, it is useful to follow the evolution of the exchange rate in periods of different extensions. In this paper, it was analysed the evolution of the exchange rate of the MDL against the USD and the EURO during the last five years, it was outlined the trends and some economic and financial effects were observed. |
