This subject was selected on the basis of its actuality in relation to the cardinal reforming initiatives of the Republic of Moldova by refraining from the model of the military service in favor of the training of the professional Army. In the process of discussions on this project, the topic of the numerical weight and the organizational structure of the Armed Forces Reserve (AFR) of the country would be open. By definition, AFR as usual is a military organization, completed by citizens of a state, which in their activities combines civilian and military professional careers. As a rule, the Reserve is not part of the Armed Forces, having been created to reduce the defense budget while maintaining a level of combat capability, consistent with the need to ensure effective defense with minimal costs. |
