The paper presents the results of the breeding of common wheat from IGFPP for the years 2017-2021. The aim of our research was to create new common wheat varieties with a high potential productivity and adapted to environmental conditions. The original material was created by intraspecific, intervarietal hybridization, using remote geographical wheat ecotypes for this purpose. A new variety Moldova 614 of common winter wheat has been created and it is being tested at the State Commission for the third year. On average for 3 years (2017–2019) of study of the variety it had a yield of 5.3 t/ha. The volume of bread of the Moldova 614 variety is 540 cm. cubs. and has a golden brown crust with good porosity and superior taste qualities than the control variety Moldova 11 (530 cm. cub.).
