Rezumat

One of theconstructiveelements of Turkish-Islamiccivilization, which has beenshaped on theaxis of geography, climate, andculture since the 11th century, is morality; andone of theessentialelementsbywhichmorality is transformedintopractice (behavior) is commondecency. Decency is a primaryfactandpractice in everyteachingfromSufismtoBektashism; It has alwaysbeenconsidered as an important element of poetry in everystage of the art of poetry. Decency, which is one of theconstructiveelements of daily life andhumanrelations, has expandedthecontent of meaning in almostallteachingsand art. Although it essentiallypointstomorality, it has been a determiningfactorpointingtothewhole of social life. Considering how thephenomenon of decencywashandled in theformationanddissolutionphases of civilizationwouldalsomeanrevealing how theunderstanding of moralitychangedordid not change in practice. This article will focus on theunderstanding of thedecency of Hacı Bektaş Veli and Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Aftere valuating th eunderstanding of decency of bothpoet sand thinkersseparately, thesimilarities in theemergence of theunderstandingsandthedifferences in the way the yare expressed will be emphasized. This evaluationwillalsofocus on how muchthemeanings of commondecency, which is one of the concrete indicators of morality, have changedor have not changed after comparisons.
