Poetic „ego” is different in the 1980s-1990s, because poetry has undergone several poetic ages. The poets of eighties debut with a collective, generic and also elusive „ego”, identifi ed within the romanticism of the era. This „ego” is engaged in the process of intellectual reconstruction. But the trust in abstract community is in perpetual decline making room for subjective and unreliable „egos”. Poets return to the biographical, individual „ego” that is a realistic one, to purifi ed romanticism, ideology and false objectivity.
