Background. In the inflamation proces in Pirogov – Waldeyer ring, the bacterial flora has an essential role. A chronic rising proces that appeared at lymphoid tissue tossils level as a result develops systemic complications. Objective of the study. To study the impact of microbial agents in the etiopathogenesis of children’s chronic tonsillitis. Material and Methods. The results of bacteriological examinations on the mucosal surface of the palatine tonsils were studied in 227 children. The patients has been divided into 3 groups: I gr. - 87 with chronic decompensated tonsillitis; Gr. II - 91 with acute upper respiratory tract infection; Gr. III - 49 actually healthy children. Statistical interpretation was performed with Epi Info. Results. Patients with chronic decompensated tonsillitis (group I), S. aureus was detected in 59.7%; Streptococcus β-haemolyticus Gr. A - 8.1%; Streptococcus β-haemolyticus Gr. С - 6.5%; S. pneumoniae - 4.8%; Enterococcus spp. - 3.2% and Neisseria spp. - 1.6%. In children with acute respiratory infection (group II) S. aureus accounted for 38.8%. In 12.2% of cases Neisseria spp .; S. pneumoniae - at 10.2%, Streptococcus β-haemolyticus Gr. A - at 9.2%, Streptococcus β-haemolyticus Gr. C - at 5.1% and Streptococcus β-haemolyticus Gr. G - at 3.1 % cases. In group III: S. aureus - 57.9%, S. pneumoniae - 14.0% and Neisseria spp. - 10.5%. In 3.5% of cases the microflora has not been growing. Conclusion. The results confirm that sick children very often are a risk group in chronic inflammation process and they also develop systemic complications, especially those who have been detected with β-hemolytic Streptococcus group A. These children require multidisciplinary supervision. |
