The dynamics of the general prevalence of the population in the Northern Development Region (RDN) of the Republic of Moldova (RM) is established. The decrease of the degree of disease on districts takes place in the following: Glodeni > mun. Bălți > Florești > Sângerei > Râșcani > Dondușeni > Fălești > Edineț > Soroca > Briceni > Ocnița > Drochia. The comparison of the average general prevalence on the regions of the republic indicates that the highest value, of the respective index, was registered in the NDR with 7121,9 cases per 10 thousand inhabitants, followed by RD UTA Găgăuzia (6969,4), on the 3rd place and 4 is placed RD Center (6954,8) and RD South respectively with 6020,2 cases. In the structure of the general prevalence of the population in the NDR, it was established that the most common are diseases: cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, followed by genitourinary diseases. The analysis of the structures of the general prevalence showed that in the NDR, cardiovascular diseases are established in the first place, which constitute about 25,2% of the total number of diseases. The dynamics of these diseases are in a permanent growth trend with an increase, in the period 2010‒2019, by about 53,1 percentage points. Respiratory diseases are in second place, accounting for 19,5 percent of the total number of diseases. These diseases during the researched period constitute a substantial increase of about 58,5 points. The highest values of respiratory diseases were recorded in: Bălți municipality, which is explained by the poor air quality in the urban ecosystem Bălți. The dynamics of diseases of the digestive system ranks third and has a decreasing trend, in the research period 2010‒2019, and the level of decrease is 13,3 percent. The fourth place in the structure of the general prevalence of the population is occupied by endocrine diseases, this group of diseases has a tendency to increase by about 20 percent.
