In the field of cryobiology, there are a large number of publications devoted to the study of male reproductive cells and their biological membranes. At the same time, less attention is paid to the state of the protein component of cells. Living organisms are characterized by a wide variety of proteins that form the basis of the structure of the cell and provide many of its functions. In our earlier studies, it was shown that the sperm of farm animals differs both in species and in individual composition. Therefore, the aim of the presented work was to study the protein spectrum and its changes in the process of cryopreservation of bovine and rooster sperm. The presence of albumin, alpha, beta, and gamma globulins was determined by the spectrophotometric method. Most proteins are found in seminal plasma; in gametes, the total protein content is somewhat lower. Of the proteins of seminal plasma, albumin is most of all, and of the proteins of gametes, gama globulins are most of all (in the sperm of both animal species). As you progress through the technological stages, the amount of some proteins increases, while others decrease. This indicates the destruction of protein structures, violation of the permeability of biological membranes and changes in the chromatographic mobility of proteins. |
