the medical terminology is a field of specialized supplementary knowledge. The medicine terms
are conceived as terminological units which bring supplementary knowledge, ensure specialized
communication in medicine and own a motivated representation.in the medicine domain specialized
knowledge unites are o two types:
a) Linguistic units: lexical units (cord, abdomen, intestin etc.), phrase logical units, (Faţa
lui Hippocrate „the dying symptom”; capul meduzei „sign in the cancerogen affection” etc.)
fixed / relatively fixed syntagmic units (cord astenic, coloană vertebrală etc.).
b) Nonlinguistic units: symbols (pharmaceutical terminology: names of vitamins, mineral
salts etc.), formulas (pharmaceutical terminology: acids, oxides etc.).
At a morphological level, the linguistic units are referred to nouns, adjectives, and verbs and have the
capacity to make references and to classify the information in the medical domain.
