Rezumat

Septic-purulent infections, caused by different both gram-positive and gramnegative microorganisms, are considered separately in human pathology. They are characterized by high incidence and serious consequences which lead directly or indirectly to a significant rise in treatment cost and economic, moral and social damages. Therefore, the problem of elaborating original antibacterial remedies, less toxic and more effective compared to traditional preparations utilized in medical practice, is still actual. Thiosemicarbazones of aromatic ortooxyaldehydes form with transitive metals a large variety of coordination compounds with different composition, structure and properties. Some of these compounds display biological activity, a property that makes possible their utilization as antiseptics and disinfectants and also as agents for creating selective nutritious microbiological media. Thus, synthesis and investigation of new coordination compounds of biometals with thiosemicarbazones have both scientific and practical interest. The goal of this investigation is synthesis and study of physico-chemical and antimicrobial properties of internal copper(II) complexes with such mixed ligands as thiosemicarbazones and 4-phenylthiosemicarbazones of salicylic aldehyde, its substitutes 2-hydroxi-1-naphtaldehyde and pyridine, pycoline, sulphanilamides (streptocydes, sulphacyl, norsulphazol, ethazol and sulphademizine). Several coordination compounds with the following general formulae have been synthesized: CuA(Lig-2H)⋅nH2O (Lig = the above mentioned thiosemicarbazones; n = 0-2). The conclusions concerning their probable structures have been made on the basis of magnetochemical, thermogravimetric and IR investigations. It has been determined that all the obtained substances have selective bacteriostatic and bactericide activities towards standard staphylococcus, streptococcus and intestine bacilli in the limits of concentration 0,9-300 μg/ml. The discovered properties of these compounds can enlarge the medical arsenal of disinfectants and antiseptics. The investigations have been made under 3C 28-project support.
