The Republic of Moldova having no fossil energy sources imports 95% of them. Annually in the country also accumulates over 12 m tones lei of vegetable and animalist wastes, the energy which is equivalent with all energy sources imported – gas, coal, fuel, electricity. The research has shown that to use agricultural waste is necessary to transform the product easy to obtain renewable energy. One of the most common methods in this direction is compression of the vegetable wastes in pellet. This product is simple to use as energy source in corporate and individual boilers. The pressing biomass, the density increases of 6-8- times and reaches the number from 1100 to 1250 kt / m, while the baled straws have only 120 – 150 kt/m³.The Institute of Technical Agricultural „Mecagro” has elaborated a technological scheme for producing the pellets and they designed, manufactured and tested equipment properly.The technological line is made up of chopper of straw bale joint through a duct of air with bunker - cyclone of accumulation of ground produce, dispenser, and blender with pump of water, granulators, and pneumatic systems for transportation of granulated product with fan, cooler with cooling fan, elevator, bunker of accumulating of pellets and the automatic dosing apparatus and packaging of finished product.All the construction units represent the original equipment protected by patents. The experimental factory of Institute “Mecagro” completed the first two lines of grain and mounted at economical agency.
