The present article deals with the problems that appear while translating tourist texts from Romanian into English. As the importance of tourism increases immensely day by day it became crucial to improve the translations in this domain. The given study aims at highlighting the main problems in translation of tourist texts such as cultural content, unskillled translators and semantic loss. The corpus material is taken from bilingual Romanian - English tourist brochures and menus. |
