The symbolic imagery inclines the subject – reader towards the role to assume the act of interpretation, for the reason that the symbolic image is not rendered only in the strict semantic meaning, being “a combination between the significant unit and the signification, but in the extra meanings of a special semantic use, with the significance effect. A symbol is „a hormone of the meaning”, creating a system of images, that suggest significations the most contradictory and impressive. The imagery of the symbolic type is a mediator between a real content and the one assured by the personal mystery of the reader, this way generating a total accumulation of impressions of the consciousness”. So, the symbolic image does not discover in the immediate aspect the total intuitive content, but, being composed of a plurality of significations, reveals the indirect message, the one of the depth of the poetic text. |
