Rezumat | ||||||
Cognitive psychology proposes theories and explanations on the mechanisms of learning by processing information. Students not only receive information about the surrounding reality but they acquire knowledge to help them process or interpret the information. The level of investigation and the degree of generality of the cognitivist theories is narrower, but it is more operative in understanding and explaining various learning situations, including school-based learning. Thus, the students receive general information but with the possibility of structuring and organizing in explanatory assemblies the knowledge learned. |
