In the article Emigration of the population of Bessarabia in the Caucasus, Siberia and the Far East (the end of the 19th century - the beginning of the 20th century), the historiography on the given theme is analyzed. The issue in question was tangentially and tendentiously elucidated in the Russian and Soviet literature, especially in the Moldovan Soviet one. The topic was elucidated tangentially in the literature of the Republic of Moldova.  Among the most important studies we mention those signed by L.Berg, A.Zasciuk, N.Turceaninov, Ya.Grosul and I.Budak I. Jarcuţchi, V. Scutelnic, V. Tomuleţ etc. The historiographic analysis of the problem addressed demonstrates that a whole series of aspects of this subject have remained unclear (the antecedents and consequences of the agrarian reform, the social processes in the Bessarabian village after the reform, population migration inside and outside the gubernia) requiring a special approach , and other aspects of the problem in question have been tendentiously researched (peasant disturbances in the years of implementation of the agrarian reform and the post-reform period), under the impact of ideological factors, requiring a review, a critical and objective approach.
