Rezumat

Present work include the analysis of the current situation regarding the most optimal form of the state in the Republic of Moldova, which has a great impact due to the big difference between an unitary state and a federation from the political and economic perspective. After the tragic events in spring of year 1992, we as a country lost roughly 11% of our territory due to differences in ethnics and political views. Today the new generation should be interested and involved in the peaceful settlement of this problem by developing new ways of finding common ground. One of the key aspects in solving this problems is a new form of the state which will provide a fair and large representation for the minorities, which in long term will prevent forever the political mistakes of the old generation. By developing this idea we will identify what are the advantages and disadvantages of such changes.
