| Rezumat | ||||||
Violence against women and family violence are prevalent throughout the world, while the Republic of Moldova is no exception to this. Although there is some knowledge and evidence regarding the aspects of the given problem, available studies and data, based on a limited number of surveys, reveal not only the existence of violence against women, but also the increase of the given phenomenon during the transition period, which is marked by high rates of poverty, an instable political situation, and an imperfect legal system. |
