Regional development has different significance in the European countries. Regional development is important because there exist difficulties in the economic development of some countries in comparison with the countries more developed economically and historically, in natural resources and geographical sphere. It provides active participation of all citizens in economic, political and social development. It presupposes the development of distant territories from the developed center. The renaissance of regional movement in 70th, the realization of administrative reforms in many countries which legitimized territorial extension of the European Community and contributed to radical changes in the regional development of countries. After the declaration of independence Republic of Moldova established relations with different international political and economic organizations, stabilized bilateral relations with the European states. Being a small country the efforts of Republic of Moldova to be integrated in the European structures are promoted on the central and regional level through the intensification of cooperation between regional communities and similar structures of neighbor states in the framework of Euro-regions.
