The present article is concerned on a panoramic historical evaluation of myths and mythology from a contemporary point of view, underlining the ideas of the main authorities Aristotle, G. Vico, F.W.J.Shelling, R. Barthes, C. Levy-Strauss, M. Eliade. Nowadays, myths are the study object of a lot of science domains (anthropology, psychology, philosophy etc. as well as literature), supposing a multiple interpretative contexts and definitions. Looking from aesthetical analyzing,
we highly appreciate the Eliade’s definition, because it makes a basic link between literary fiction and other sciences, putting the human imaginary close to god’s Olympus. |
