Rezumat

The base for a cohesive community is education that insures the knowledge for coping with life challenges in an integrative manner. Education gives access to the set of values and builds an identity. Yet, during the past decade the social and economic challenges have mainly prejudiced the system of education and the very relations within the family cell. Parents neither are present to educate their children, nor able to pass forward a set of integrative and participative values. The important task of family values transfer lies not only on the shoulders of the very family, but on the whole community with its public institutions or private organization, since this transfer is the key for holding up the cohesion of a society as a whole. The present article emphasizes the importance of parental education as a viable option / tool for the fight against family and community dissolution, social exclusion, intolerance, and racism.
