This work reflects the results of study regarding combating of poverty through foreign investment projects and programs that help people especially those from rural areas. It is worth mentioning that the phenomenon of poverty and social inequality are interconnected, because inequality is seen as a social and political problem as well as an economic issue. Developing economic activities through investment projects is vital for combating poverty. The benefits are directly related to the creation of jobs, the economic exploitation of resources (agriculture, tourism, industry and services), the horizontally development of economy, attracting additional financial resources in the rural area, bringing funds to local budgets. Thus, the research proved that combating poverty mainly in rural areas can be achieved only through the investment projects and programs, the implementation of which help to support farmers from individual agricultural sector, increase income and economic activity and improve rural development.
