In the present article is approached the problem of migration based on some consequences that it generates them. Thus, although we assist to an increasing dependence of Moldovan citizens to migration, it is more intensively encouraged the idea of positive effects of migration, not only for migrant’s family, but also for the origin country or region. The argument is reflected in the large inflow of remittances that have significantly contributed to the improvement of living standards, welfare of migrants’ families, they have reduced poverty level, have diminished social inequalities, etc. In these circumstances migration creates also opportunities for the formation of the middle class in the Republic of Moldova. We find that in the process of formation of middle class, the important active agents are the group of Moldovan migrants or their families. Therefore, the study seeks to highlight the role of migration factor for the society, for the process of formation of the social classes based on the level of society development.
