The study was conducted under the institutional project „Study of natural area in the lower course of the river Ikel for biodiversity preservation and protection of hydrological and geological objects.”As a result of investigations carried out on the trail of beetles fauna, at Ciorescu – Hruşeva, the lower course of the river Ikel, have been identified 92 species belonging to 16 families. Following investigations in the area of the research, were found two species of rare and endangered beetles, according to RBM classification (2002) of the categories of rarity: two endangered (EN) and vulnerable species (VU) and a strictly protected species according to Annex II of the Bern Convention. In this regard, studies have highlighted the situation of the distribution of species in the studied area of trophic categories and geographical distribution.
