The article is consecrated to the 25th anniversary from the creation of the National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova. The author determines three distinct periods in the 25 years of museum evolution: – 1983-1991, the period of functional organization and heritage collection formed on a periodization of exclusively
Marxist type; – 1992-2005, the period of museum democratization during which are defined the educational and research issues
and the development of heritage; – 2006 – marked the beginning of a new period of deep conceptual change of the museum, of defining the museums’ mission. Each period forwards certain tasks, resolves certain museum problems and shows different particularities in the
museum development as a cultural-scientific institution. Important in the evolution of the museum were and remain the issues referring to the development of the heritage, the relation and the interaction of the history museum with the historical science, with the forms of scientifi c results valorization in the museum. Instead of
conclusions are presented the museum modernization expectations at the beginning of the 21st century, among which: – the permanent involvement of research in underlying museum actions (exhibitions, cultural activities, education, conservation, restoration);
– application of the research results – orienting mostly toward applied research; – establishing research partnerships within European programs; – diversifying cultural programs on marketing analysis; – opening towards global informational integration; – a well defined museum management and marketing policy. |
