The concept of cultural transfer was elaborated by Michel Espagne and Michael Werner in order to study borrowings referring to ideas, speeches and texts, which the German and French cultures mutually adopted in the XVIIIth century, highlighting their specific features of changes in the target culture. Translation is a form of cultural transfer concerning both transitions from a language to another one and from a culture to another one, thus being also an intercultural dialogue. In this article we a going to follow the above - mentioned concept insisting upon those three constitutive stages: the process of selection, mediation and reception.
