The article makes a brief analysis of the policy system aimed at supporting families with children in the Republic of Moldova. It is noted that the support provided by the state for families with children through certain social and economic guarantees, the amount of allowances for children, that reduce the direct and indirect costs the family has to grow up and educate the children and the opportunities the parents have to reconcile work-family life balance can influence both on the realization of the reproductive intentions of the family and mother’s occupational status.
