Rezumat

The public-private partnership (PPP) is a particular form of collaboration between public and private authorities to solve problems of social-economic importance. The implementation of PPP practices in the education system is relatively new, considering the sensitive object of use. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the specific aspects of PPP application in the field of education. The objectives of the research were related to the determination of the elements and the mandatory conditions of the application of PPP practices in relation to the organization of the activity of educational institutions. The research was carried out by screening the available open information sources, followed by the synthesis of the available material to obtain a complex picture of the international experience of applying PPP in the education system. PPPs can take different forms of implementation and can be applied at all levels of the education system. PPP projects in the field of education have a number of benefits and drawbacks. The efficiency of the implementation of PPP projects is dependent on compliance with a complex of conditions. In the same way, international experience allows to avoid possible problems in this field. The results of the study of the international experience in the addressed field may be of interest for the purpose of perfecting the policies in the field of PPP in the Republic of Moldova.
