The potential of green streets and their use as multifunctional spaces in difrent climate zones and different cultural contexts shows great opportunities for planning livable cities of the future around the world. The concept of biophilic street design is an essential solution to a number of environmental problems, including the urban heat island effect, filtration of particulate matter and sequestration of carbon dioxide, rehabilitation and restoration of lost habitats, and increased forest biodiversity. In general, this contributes to the implementation of ecologically interconnected design solutions on many scales and enables the regeneration of natural systems in the urban environment. Understanding the perception of residents of cultural ecosystems of the services of street urban green spaces will offer solutions to the problems of sustainable development. |
